Will Montague is a partner in the firm's Litigation Department. His legal practice focuses on business litigation and dispute resolution, particularly technology-related disputes and intellectual property matters involving copyright, trade secret, patent, and trademark issues. Will's litigation background likewise includes extensive experience handling contract disputes, bankruptcy and commercial litigation, and business disputes in the health care, equine, and banking industries. Will also regularly advises clients in non-litigation matters such as the negotiation and preparation of business contracts, protection and licensing of intellectual property, formulation of privacy and data security plans, and other important aspects of conducting modern business.

Will graduated from Vanderbilt University and the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he was in the top three percent of his class and an associate editor of the Kentucky Law Journal. After law school, he spent a year in Virginia as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Samuel G. Wilson, United States District Judge for the Western District of Virginia.

Before joining Dinsmore & Shohl in 2005, Will was a partner at Stoll, Keenon & Park (now Stoll Keenon Ogden), where he served for five years as chair of the firm's Intellectual Property & Technology Department. He also served for several years as chair of the Fayette County Bar Association's Intellectual Property & Computer Law Section. Will has been a frequent speaker at conferences and other forums regarding intellectual property and technology law subjects and has been published in national legal periodicals such as The Intellectual Property Strategist and Entertainment Law & Finance.
