Alex M. Triantafilou, current Chairman of the Hamilton County Republican Party and former Common Pleas Judge, has joined the law firm of Dinsmore & Shohl LLP. He will practice in the Litigation Department working from the firm's Cincinnati office.

"We're thrilled to have someone with Alex's legal ability and stature in the community join us," said George Vincent, Managing Partner of Dinsmore and Shohl. "He is a great addition to the firm and we look forward to a long association."

A practicing lawyer since 1996, Triantafilou spent nearly six years in the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office. In January of 2003, Triantafilou moved to the position of Administrator of the Hamilton County Clerk of Court's Office, where he led a staff of over 320 employees. Triantafilou was first appointed then won election to the Hamilton County Municipal Court in 2005. He was named to the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas in December 2006.

Triantafilou will focus his practice on mass tort litigation, class-action lawsuits, and business and contractual disputes.

"I am pleased and honored to have the opportunity to join the law firm of Dinsmore and Shohl," said Triantafilou. "The client services offered by the firm and the wide array of experienced and dedicated professionals who serve those clients made this firm very attractive to me as I step down from the bench."

Triantafilou graduated from The University of Cincinnati and received a J.D. from Salmon P. Chase College of Law. He previously served as President of the Board of Trustees for the CORE Behavioral Health Centers, Inc. and as Legal Advisor to the Oak Hills High School Mock Trial Team. Triantafilou is a current recipient of the Cincinnati Business Courier's "40 Under 40" award.
