Thomas Whelley Named President of Dayton Bar Association

Thomas Whelley, a partner in the Dayton office of Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, was recently inducted as the 2009-10 President of the Dayton Bar Association (DBA). A member since 1977, Whelley recently served as the first Vice President. He is the 95th attorney to lead the DBA.

Whelley is the third Dinsmore & Shohl attorney to be named President of a bar association for the 2009-10 term. Earlier this year, Colin Lindsay was named President of the Louisville Bar Association and Mindy Barfield was named President of the Fayette County Bar Association in Lexington.

Whelley is a partner in the Litigation Department. He has a wide array of experience in the preparation of complex business litigation cases and the defense of employment law cases. He has been selected for numerous awards including being listed in the The Best Lawyers in America® and Ohio Super Lawyers®. Whelley was Editor-in-Chief of the law review and earned his J.D. and from the University of Dayton School of Law and his B.A. from Kings College.
